Tidelines Book Festival presents Alan Riach's new patchwork biography, The MacDiarmid Memorandum, featuring paintings from Alexander Moffat and Ruth Nicol.

Join us for an illustrated talk from poet, writer, editor and Professor of Scottish Literature at University of Glasgow, Alan Riach. With its unique blend of poetry, art, biography and national history, The MacDiarmid Memorandum maps a nation where nature is interwoven with and inseparable from our political history.

Featuring images of paintings by acclaimed Scottish artists Alexander Moffat and Ruth Nicol, from the exhibition ‘Landmarks: Poets, Portraits and Landscapes of Modern Scotland’, which first inspired this extraordinary, category-defying book.
